SC Debate

I think Ron Paul summed up the foreign policy of this country pretty well with this quote at tonights debate:

Let me see if I get this right. We need to borrow $10 billion from China, and then we give it to (Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf, who is a military dictator who overthrew an elected government, and then we go to war, we lose all these lives, promoting democracy in Iraq. I mean what’s going on here? ”

More Ron Paul

Back from a recent trip to South Carolina and I will have to say that if grass-roots can win a campaign it will be Ron Paul. The Ron Paul signs (both the standard ones from the campaign and homemade ones) easily out numbered his opponents 20 to 1 in Myrtle Beach (not counting all those written in the sand).

They also did a great job on the interstates with huge Ron Paul Revolution signs hanging on trees!

The only weakness I saw for his campaign was TV ads (hopefully with his 6 million dollar day that can change). Mitt Romney, John McCain, Barrack Obama, and John Edwards are running commercials constantly in SC. I didn’t watch a whole lot of TV, but it was definitely saturated with their commercials.

The Haircut

One day a florist goes to a barber for a haircut. After the cut he asked about his bill and the barber replies, “I cannot accept money from you. I’m doing community service this week.” The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber goes to open his shop the next morning there is a ‘thank you’ card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replies, “I cannot accept money from you. I’m doing community service this week.” The cop is happy and leaves the shop.

The next morning when the barber goes to open up there is a ‘thank you’

card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Later that day, a college professor comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replies, “I cannot accept money from you. I’m doing community service this week.” The professor is very happy and leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber opens his shop, there is a ‘thank you’ card and a dozen different books, such as “How to Improve Your Business” and “Becoming More Successful.

“Then, a Congressman comes in for a haircut, and when he goes to pay his bill the barber again replies, “I cannot accept money from you. I’m doing community service this week.” The Congressman is very happy and leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber goes to open up, there are a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.
